Without any idea that his death was just few hours away, former coach and technical adviser of the Super Eagles, Amodu Shuaibu had signed the Condolence Register for Keshi.

Tears flowed freely on Friday at the Ikoyi Cemetary, Lagos, as the remains of Adesola Ogunmefun and Olufunmilayo Odusina, two University of Lagos post-graduate students who drowned and died during one of their friend’s birthday party at Elegushi beachi on June 6, 2016, were finally laid to rest.

Pastor Biodun Alimi, the officiating minister during the funeral programme speaking to the mouners said "But we do not want you to be uninformed brothers about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. Therefore, mourn not, cry not, grieve not; but rather give thanks to God for the life lived."

Despite the advice from the man of God, family members and friends of the two young women could not hold back their tears, as they wept bitterly while paying their last respect.

Sunmibola Ogunmefun, a sibling to the late Adesola, said even though the family is in mourning, they are consoled by the good life she lived and impact she made during her sojourn on earth.

“Very simplistic, you’ve never been the kind to take things too seriously and your smile is from ear to ear. Keeping malice with you was futile, you’d always find a way to break the ice…never one to hold grudge.

“Sola, in your short years on earth, you’ve connected us with so many people and your death has brought reconciliation…you are indeed a special one,” she said while paying homage to her late sister.

Judging from the post-mortem examination, it looks like the viper was able to initially eat the centipede. However, once it was swallowed, the centipede tried to claw its way out of the viper's stomach. It nearly succeeded.

A man cleared of raping a woman has been ordered to give police 24 hours’ notice before he has sex, reports BBC. The man, in his 40s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was acquitted in 2015 at a retrial after claiming the alleged victim had consented. An interim sexual risk order, initially imposed in December, has been extended for four months by magistrates in York. It requires the man disclose any planned sexual activity to the police or face up to five years in prison. The order – which was drawn up by magistrates in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and extended in York – reads: “You must disclose the details of any female including her name, address and date of birth. “You must do this at least 24 hours prior to any sexual activity taking place.” It also contains restrictions on his use of the internet and mobile phone devices and requires him to inform officers of any change of address. A further court hearing in May will decide whether the interim order should be made into a full order, which has a minimum duration of two years and can last indefinitely. Sexual risk orders were introduced in England and Wales in March last year and can be applied to any individual who the police believe poses a risk of sexual harm, even if they have never been convicted of a crime. They are civil orders imposed by magistrates at the request of police.

Vanguard authoritatively gathered that messages have been sent to churches to mobilise their members to ensure that their children comply with this directive. Ramesh looked like any other bouncing baby boy when his mother Nar Kumari held her little boy for the first time. Just 15 days after she got him home, her son’s skin began to peel and was replaced by thick, black scales which have been slowly and painfully entombing him since.

His rare skin disorder is slowly turning him into a stone statue has robbed the 11-year-old of his ability to walk and even talk.

And for a long time it seemed there was no hope for a cure, leaving his desperate mother and her husband Nanda helpless to do anything besides watch him slowly turn to stone.

Nanda told MailOnline: ‘His skin started peeling off 15 days after he was born and then new skin began to grow very thick.

‘It hardened and turned black, we had no idea what to do about it. No one helped us.’

In fact, doctors in Baglung, the remote Nepalese region where the family live, seemed bemused by what they told them was a ‘fungal infection’ and said they couldn’t help.

All the while, Ramesh was getting worse.

‘By this fifth birthday he began to say his body was in pain and he couldn’t walk,’ said Nanda. ‘He’s never really been able to explain anything to us either.

‘He is only able to inform us when he’s hungry or wants to use the toilet. He used to sit and cry but we didn’t know what was hurting him or how to help him.

‘Any young child would see him and run away crying. It was hard for him and us to watch.’

By age six, the condition had left him unable to walk, and so he has never been to school. Even when his parents did discover the cause, an extremely rare condition called Ichthyosis, they were unable to do anything to ease their son’s suffering.

But then help came from British singer Joss Stone.

The Chairman of the Edo State Football Association (EFA), Frank Ilaboya, confirmed on Wednesday that the remains of former Super Eagle’s coach, Stephen Keshi, had been moved to a mortuary in Benin.

The privately-owned mortuary, Faith Mediplex, is located on the Benin Airport road in the Edo State capital.

Mr. Ilaboya quoted Mr. Keshi’s faimily member, Ricky Aburimen, as saying the Eagle’s former coach only complained of a leg ailment while holidaying at his Airport road home in Benin before he passed away.

He said Mr. Keshi died on the way to hospital at about 3 am.

The ex- international lost his wife , Nkem Kate Keshi only last December. They had been married for more than 30 years. She died after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Mr. Keshi is survived by four children and his mother.

Meanwhile, a statement on the coaches death had been released by Emmanuel Ado, brother and aide to the late Mr. Keshi, said: “With thanksgiving to God, the Ogbuenyi Fredrick Keshi family of Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, announces the death of Mr. Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi’.

“Our son, brother, father, father-in-law, brother-in-law, has gone to be with his wife of 35 years (Nkem ), Mrs. Kate Keshi, who passed on on the 9th December 2015.

“Since her death, Keshi has been in mourning. He came back to Nigeria to be with her. He had planned to fly back today (Wednesday), before he suffered a cardiac arrest. He has found rest.” (NAN)

You may think this is a no-brainer but honestly it isn’t. Most women I know who’ve been in abusive relationships have immense strength, only to shut down in the presence of her partner’s anger and violence. As a strong woman myself, I froze when a guy I’d been dating went into a rage one night, throwing things, damaging property and calling me names. I knew it was a deal-breaker because even though he didn’t put his hands on me, he scared me. No healthy relationship can be built off a foundation of fear because you never know when his actions may escalate. 
2. He cheats. 
Many people will say this point is debatable because lots of couples who have fidelity issues repair their relationship and end up in a better than where they were pre-cheating. But it’s not the act of cheating that’s the deal-breaker here; it’s the disrespect, broken trust and significant risk to your health. (Hello, STDs!) With all the risks that hang in the balance for just a tiny bit of pleasure, it’s entirely inconsiderate and selfish when a man cheats on you. Do you want someone who puts his wants before your needs, like security and trust? I don’t which is why I’ve said BYE to cheating men. 
3. He doesn’t claim or proclaim you. 
Many women will spend time in limbo-like relationships with guys who won’t give them the girlfriend title. Here’s the truth: If you’ve been dating a man for longer than six to nine months and he’s hasn’t made you an official part of his life, it’s time to MOVE ON. Stop making excuses for why things aren’t progressing to the next level; you’ll only waste time and your time is worth more than that. These days, I don’t settle for less because I don’t want a man who makes you a bargain-bin find. If he knows your worth, he’ll claim and proclaim you and there will be few conversations about how ‘he isn’t ready.’ 
4. He suffers from addiction. 
There are plenty of honor badges to be earned by standing by your man when he’s fallen on hard times. But CAUTION if you stick with a man fighting demons, namely addiction. Addiction can range from less-severe, like cigarettes, to major issues such as drug, alcohol and sex. Someone who suffers from an addiction will do anything – and I mean anything – to get their fix, even at the expense of those they love. So unless you’d like to be second to whatever vices he has, it may be time to ‘leave smoke.’ 
5. He gaslights you. 
We’ve spoken about gaslighting, which is the manipulative act of someone attempting to change your memory or perception of events in their favor, making you feel crazy or like you’ve forgotten something. But when is gaslighting a dealbreaker, you ask? The answer is when it happens! A man who resorts to manipulative tactics to have his way or ‘win’ an argument will continue to play mind games and be dishonest with you. When I experienced gaslighting in my relationships, I felt crazy and my self-esteem plummeted until I understood the game that was being played. Take advantage of the situation and leave immediately; it’s the best thing you can do for yourself

An owner of a popular ‘buka’ (local street restaurant) in Portharcourt confessed last Saturday to using diabolical means to entice customers, as well as take their destinies.

According to eye witnesses, the lady named Happiness a native of Akwa Ibom state, suddenly ran mad while at her buka located at Aleto in Eleme Local Government area of Port-Harcourt, Rivers state. She was said to have suddenly started acting crazy, tore her clothes and started confessing how she employed diabolical means for the growth of her business. In her confession, she said she mixes water used to bathe corpses with her food, as well as water from her private part and menstruation blood.She said she did all these to attract customers whose “destinies” she used for the growth of her business and riches. After her confession, she tore off her clothes and went around town naked, confessing her evil, appearing to have lost her sanity. The news of her confession spread around the area, and some of her customers who are mostly the commercial ‘okada’ riders and angry onlookers ponced on her beating her till the Police who arrived in time and took her away.

Once as a kid, I once witnessed this when a togo lady who sells beans confessed to using water to wash her private part and use the  mixture to make her beans. Then we never knew the reason why the whole neighborhood trooped to eat from her shop. The lady died after her confession so stuffs like this are real as I have witnessed one.
This should serve as a lesson. know where and what you buy and eat. If you can’t afford a decent meal out there, why not make your own meal or buy fast foods if its that urgent. Then only God could keep us safe. Do not ignore this, read and share as you might be helping someone.

As Age Qualification Bill passes 2nd reading By Johnbosco Agbakwuru ABUJA—THE Bill seeking to reduce the age qualifications for interested candidates to contest for the positions of President, governor and senate in the country to 30 years yesterday passed second reading in the House of Representatives. The bill, which also makes provision for independent candidacy into the country’s electoral process, further reduces the age qualifications to contest for the House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly to 25 years. INEC boss, Mahmood Yakubu The Bill is an alteration of section 65, 106, 131 and 177 of the 1999 constitution which had prescribed qualification into the office of President to 40 years and above, office of governors and senate, 35 years and above as well as House of Representatives and state Houses of Assembly to 25 years and above. In his lead debate, the sponsor of the bill, Tony Chinedu Nwulu representing Oshodi-Isolo 11 Federal Constituency of Lagos State, on platform of  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, noted that electing candidates into public offices was an important aspect of democratic practices. He stated:   “Countries like the United Kingdom parliament decided in 2006 to lower their age of candidacy from 21 to 18, which had existed since the Parliamentary Elections Act 1695. An age candidacy of 25 would encourage greater youth participation in politics.”

Nwulu stated that many countries world wide had called for a reduction in age qualification into elected offices, adding  that the bill was a demonstration of the growing desire and demand of youths to participate in the democratic process. According to him, “this desire itself could be viewed as a sufficient warrant for young people to participate, demonstrate a willingness to engage and fulfill the burdens of office.” On the Independent candidacy, he stressed the need to open up the space for lawmakers to come in as independent candidates. He said:  “It is pertinent now to amend the constitution to make room for independent candidates to widen the democratic processes in our elections, and above all to encourage our young ones to fully participate in all elective offices.”

Massive employment for 500,000 Nigerians

In what is the first roll-out of its N500billion social investment programmes, the Nigerian government is set to begin taking applications online for positions in the 500,000 direct teacher jobs scheme, through an internet portal named npower.gov.ng.

While the portal would be live on Saturday June 11, applications are expected to start coming in on June 12.

Young unemployed Nigerians are advised to visit the website and apply, a statement by the vice president office said on Wednesday.

President Muhammadu Buhari had in his May 29 Democracy Day broadcast to the nation formally launched the “unprecedented social investment programmes already provided for under the 2016 Appropriation by the administration.”

The 500,000 Teacher Corps, nicknamed N-Power Teach on the portal, is one of the three direct job creation and training schemes Nigerians can start applying for from Sunday, June 12.

Others are N-Power Knowledge, which will train 25,000 Nigerians in the area of technology, and N-Power Build, which train another 75,000 in the areas of building services, construction, utilities, hospitality and catering, automotive vocations, aluminium and gas services.

All trainees would be paid for the duration of their training, the statement said.

The statement, signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, added, “The N-Power Teacher Corps initiative, which will engage and train 500,000 young unemployed graduates, is a paid volunteer programme of a two-year duration.

“Unemployed Nigerians selected and trained will serve in teaching, instructional, and advisory roles in primary, and secondary schools, agricultural extension systems across the country, public health and community education — covering civic and adult education.

“Besides their monthly take home pay estimated at about N23,000, the selected 500,000 graduates will also get computer devices that will contain information necessary for their specific engagement, as well as information for their continuous training and development. They get to keep the devices even after exiting the programme.

“According to the plan of the Buhari administration, the N-Power Teacher Corps programme is an invaluable opportunity for young Nigerians to make immense economic and social contributions to the nation while developing their skills. It will also help to address the problems of inadequate teachers in public schools.

“Also, persons enlisted under the scheme will gain work experience and acquire key competencies through academic and non-academic capacity building programmes intended to improve their competitiveness in the workplace. Their devices will come loaded with knowledge-oriented applications and software that will enable them acquire the skills and capacity.

“Under the N-Power Knowledge scheme, there are three aspects: Creative, Technology Software and Hardware. These three sub-divisions would will train 25,000 young Nigerians in all.

“Five thousand of them would be trained in animation, graphic design, post-production, script-writing. All of those under the sub-division of N-Power Knowledge-creative category.

“The N-Power Knowledge scheme also has a technology category in two aspects: hardware and software. Ten thousand Nigerians will be trained, and equipped in the area of software development, including web designers, and another 10,000 in hardware expertise, including to repair, maintain and assemble mobile phones, tablets, computers and other devices.

“Also the N-Power Build category was designed realizing that the presence of a well-trained and highly skilled youth population in any economy has direct impact on entrepreneurship/wealth creation, which in turn leads to a decline in unemployment.

“N-Power Build is therefore an accelerated training and certification (Skills to Job/Enterprise) programme that will engage and train 75,000 young unemployed Nigerians in order to build a new crop of skilled and highly competent workforce of technicians, artisans and service professionals.

“There are other schemes in the Buhari presidency Social Investment Programmes which would soon be rolled out in the coming weeks. These include the Conditional Cash Transfer that pays N5000 monthly to one million Nigerians, the Micro-Credit Scheme for more than 1.5 million Nigerians, the Home Grown School Feeding programme that will serve 5.5 million Nigerian pupils in primary school a free hot meal per day this year and the Education Support Grant Programme for 100,000 tertiary students in Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics, STEM and education.”

The militant has gained a bloody reputation as one of ISIS’s most feared butchers after beheading dozens of prisoners and amputating young children.
