A ZOO KEEPER BROKE DOWN WHAT HARAMBE WAS DOING WITH THE BOY

Skytech.
The controversy rages on after Harambe, an endangered Silverback Gorilla, was shot dead after a toddler fell into his enclosure at a Cincinnati Zoo. One expert, Amanda O'Donoughue, weighs in with her opinion, and tries to make sense of it all.

She talks about how in recent years, zoos have tried to make their enclosures more realistic. This is great for the animals, but it poses a risk to people.

Amanda says that the gorilla was just putting on a display- and that he didn't really want to hurt anyone. She also says he was scared after the crowd started screaming.
Amanda explains that if they used tranquilizers, it would have taken too long to kick in. He might also have fallen on the boy, hurting him.

She's not blaming anyone, but she does think that the safety of zoos needs to be increased. All she can say is that we have lost yet another member of an endangered species. How about we just get rid of zoos altogether?
