On Saturday, Kelechi Iheanacho will be hoping to become the first Nigerian to score in the Manchester Derby.
The Manchester City forward, is in contention to possibly start the match at Old Trafford, following Sergio Aguero’s three-match ban for elbowing West Ham defender, Winston Reid.
Iheanacho will also be making history as the first Nigerian player ever to feature in the Derby.
The 19-year-old will however become only the third African at City to score in the Manchester Derby. Ivory Coast’s Yaya Toure and Zimbabwe’s Benjani Mwaruwari have previously achieved the feat.
21 different nationalities have scored in the Manchester Derby
